Gérard Mursic is an international artist active both on the local and international markets. He was born in 1952 in Fougères. He received his first award in 1995 in his hometown of Fougères. He then won many other awards such as Solidor en Peinture in Saint-Malo, the Couleurs de Bretagne Regional Prize, the City Prize of Thorigné-Fouillard and the City Prize of Gorron, the First Prize of Pratique des Arts (magazine) and the gold medal of the Mérite Artistique Européen (M.A.E.) in Saint-Aignan. The artist depicts natural landscapes, seascapes, urban environments, still life or floral compositions in his oil paintings in a spontaneous way. His paintings are intuitive, warm and sensual. He is inspired by Turner, Van Gogh and De Staël and lets himself be carried away in a whirlwind of creativity.
